Coen's Galette

"Mama, I made it all by myself!" -Coen Chancey, age 3

Ingredients

4-5 nectarines, pit removed and sliced (easily interchangeable with any seasonal fruit)

1/3 cup of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of cold salted butter

1 Single All Butter Pie Dough

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Roll out the pie dough about 12" in diameter for one large galette, or two with 6" diameter to make two miniatures. Place the pastry onto a greased baking sheet. Arrange the nectarines in the center of the galette leaving a 1" border to be folded over later. Sprinkle over brown sugar. Cut up the butter into small pieces and sprinkle it over the galette(s). Fold over the edges of excess dough, then bake on the center rack for 30 minutes or until the dough is a golden brown. Allow to cool completely before serving.
